Earlier this week Thailand’s deposed PM was reported to be seeking ownership of the UK premiership squad Manchester City. My Thai friends said Thaksin doesn’t have any money.
Obviously they aren’t counting his income from shitcanning the Yellow Pages so Thais weere forced to use his phone info service or that he gets a piece of every electrical and water bill processed at 7/11.
I’m sure Thaksin has enough squirreled away to make such a purchase.
After all ManCity is not Liverpool, which he sought to buy with Thai gold bonds to improve the playing skills of the young Thai football players.
Thaksin is a man hard to keep out of the news no matter how the coup government edits him from the Press. Yesterday the wily Thaksin got himself elected president of the Thai PGA, proving the TRT leader is popular with golfers as well as Isaan rice farmers.
Must be his swing.
The government described the election as a joke and are calling for an investigation into voter fraud, however a Thai Rak Thai press flack said, “Thaksin likes sports. I think the government should give him a chance to run the PGAT.”
Maybe he can turn the new airport into a golf course or two.
The flackster added, “It’s the way of democracy, not dictatorship. Thaksin cannot force the association members to choose him. Yet I believe hundreds of sports associations in the country want him to be their president.”
