Yesterday Jacques Liebowitch, doctor and researcher into HIV, passed away in Paris. His work on AIDS along with that of Dr Dominique Mathez saved millions of lives by detecting tainted blood supplies, lowering the dosage of medicines, and creating treatments to combat the virus’ attack on the human immune system.
A true genius.
For the past fifteen years good friend Christine Bergstrum lived with Jacques. He gave love and devotion.
I met him a few times.
A great man who battled ‘un virus etrange venu d’ailleurs’ or A strange virus of unknown origin to the end.
Jacques Liebowitch has passed from the mortal future, yet his soul survives through his work and life and love, playing guitar through the cosmos.
En Avant.
