Not Quiet Goes The Quitter

Fox commentator Bill O’Reilly wrote the obituary for Rick Santorum’s campaign for the GOP candidate for president.

“Nobody gave Santorum much of a shot last summer. His polling at about three percent but pretty much on his own, he convinced the voters of Iowa to support him. He did it by old-fashioned “meet the folks” campaigning.

Secondly, the Senator walked the walk, what he says he lives. Of all the politicians I know, Rick Santorum is perhaps the most sincere.”

O’Reilly blamed the ex-senator failure on allowing the media to define him as a religious nut and conservative extremist.

“If they ask you about Adam and Eve you simply say… they didn’t have jobs and it’s Obama’s fault! You keep the Q and A on relevant issues. Likewise on contraception. All Santorum had to say was, hey, I’ve got seven kids, I don’t know much about it.”

Rick Santorum would have continued the fight to the bitter end, however his campaign chest was running on empty and no political candidacy can exist on air. They need money not prayers of the faithful.

“We simply didn’t have the resources to compete going forward.”

His lead in his home state of Pennsylvania dissipated under the deluge of Romney’s better financed attack, but admitting defeat has not won his moderate opponent his endorsement.

As Santorum said two weeks ago, “If you’re going to be a little different, we might as well stay with what we have instead of taking a risk with what may be the Etch A Sketch candidate of the future.”

Vote Obama.

In your heart you know he’s not a Muslim.

And he certainly isn’t a Mormon.
