I was thinking too much of the possible recall of Scott Walker today. I recalled a 60s singer doing a cover of the French hit “La Poupée qui fait non” and thought that Scott Walker had reprieved the 1966 hit. I have to admit I was only 50% wrong.
Scott McKenzie was the artist, although his version has nothing on the Quebec garage band’s interpretation of the Michel Polnareff smash.
