Someone once wrote that you know you’ve been in Thailand too long when everythng you own is a fake. Fake Adidas, fake watches, fake DVDs, and fake CDs. I admit my guilt as well since my wallet can’t justify paying 400 baht for a CD that costs 100 baht as a counterfeit. Neither could Tony’s DJ.
But the ever-vigilant Pattaya police seized the DJ Monday night for spinning bootleg CDs. 259 compilations of hot tracks for the dancing public. They timed their raid for the end of the evening so as to not instigate a panic by Pattaya’s popular disco-goers.
Busted for cyber crimes.
The music industry has a very long arm.
