I was born at Boston’s Lying-in Hospital in 1952.
Whereas GW Bush, Clinton, George Bush, and Roanald Reagan challenged my innate love for America, my loyalty to the sports team has been an undying constant despite Bill Buckner’s booting the ball, Rick Pitino coaching the Celtics, and Harry Sinden’s tight-fisted reign over the Bruins.
Why?
Patriots 31-20 over the J-ville Jaguars, which I watched at Donovan’s Sports Bar on 3rd Road.
Not as many football fans this weekend as for the Patriots winning their 16 regualr season game, but I was pleased with the result, especially since Tom Brady was near-perfect with his tossing arm. 24-26. Best ever since Phil Simms.
Everyone else in the bar was for the Jags. They were oil workers. I was wearing my Red Sox shirt. They didn’t stand a chance and I ordered a cheeseburger. Not my normal breakfast fare and neither was the three beers before noon.
Ooof.
Time for a nap and I still have another Sunday to go at least.
Bring on the Colts and let’s see how they play in the great outdoors instead of that sauna they call the I-dome.

They do take out and the #1 pizza is the serious-minded hang-over killer. Cheese pepperoni, sausage, and anchovies hold the beef.
