This summer Thailand’s ruling junta contacted Interpol to discover the whereabouts of Thaksin Shinawatra in exile. Somehow they couldn’t find him at the Manchester City football pitch or his London home, whereas a reporter working for the military spent enough time with the deposed PM to write a book about him.
Now a Bangkok Post article had brought to light the information that Mrs. Thaksin’s bodyguard and 14 other Thai police officers assigned to the Shinawatra family during the last 15 months have been paid by the government to provide this service to Old Blue Eyes.
Could find him?
What was the name of the film, where a snitch told the cops, “Follow the money?”
Interpol has issued no comment on the Thai government’s request to find Thaksin in exile in view of this new revelation into the Thai police’s knowledge of the TRT leader’s whereabouts and neither have the Thai police mentioned anything about paying for the bodyguards’ expenses while in London and Hong Kong.
Talk about creative padding the account.
I could only be so lucky.
