North of Pattaya lies a police resort on the beach. Mostly for police officers on vacation, however a few commanders see fit to take their junior associates on working weekend and this Friday scores of uniformed holiday-makers cruised Pattaya for possible infractions of the laws concerning licensing, under-age employees, and possible sex shows.
One ever-popular destination is Soi Sunee Plaza, where over 100 revelers were stopped by officers. Over 20 failed the drug urine test. Excited by their success the flying squads invaded the confines of Walking Street. No arrests were made, although top officials warned that some go-gos were allowing too much skin to be shown for the public good.
While grateful for the visiting officers’ vigilance, most bar owners wished they would refrain from practicing their arts for their home turf, since these constant raids strangely dampen the fun of Pattaya. Most of the female officers appeared very embarassed by the nudity. The majority of male cops seemed amused by their co-workers’ red faces.
