It isn’t such a small world after all.
Shijingshan Amusement Park outside of Beijing offers a bizarro alternative to Disneyworld. Rides, fun, and copyrighted Disney characters came come to light via Japanese bloggers. The park’s logo even infringes on trademark licensing.
“Disneyworld is too far away.”
The state-owned enterprise flies in face of Disney’s recently lengthening copyright ownership to 75 years and this flagant violation has earned China the US’s condemnation.
The park operators defended themselves after being confronted with photos of Minnie Mouse by saying, “The character on the right is not a mouse. It is a cat with very large ears!”
This intellectual theft hasn’t stopped the production of legitimate Disney products in China instead of the good old USA.
Som nam nah.
One visitor with a young son stated, “I don’t understand why that is such a big problem. Shouldn’t others be able to use those characters besides [Disney]?”
The Chinese invented spaghetti but you don’t see them going after the Italians for copyright infringement.
But I hope this doesn’t put ideas into the Commie leaders’ heads that they should replicate Pattaya, for this sin city has long been described as a male Disneyworld.
Go-go bars. bikes, and beer.
100 million Chinese men without women.
Pattaya couldn’t handle that traffic, so Phattayaland is next on the list to be copied, but not imitated by the commercial minded Chinese.
When i was talking about this on Soi Chaiyapoon ie Cheap Charlie Alley, a beer drinker asked, “Will the bar fines be cheaper?
You know they will.
