Nick and I woke in the Angkor Arm to the sound of cars revving their engines. Holiday-makers from the Chinese hostel were testing their engines like the drive to the capitol was the Indy 500. We were also heading north.
By bus.
Not a mini-bus packed with 300 passengers.
Am I cheap?
Kind of, but the taxi was $40 versus $10 for two by Mekong Express Bus. That thirty dollar difference works out to 30 beers. Nick and I being strict beermasians (worshippers of beer) opted for the beer versus comfort.
Smart boys.
Drunk too.
How many Cambodians can you fit on a mini-bus?
Ten more.
Even more if there’s farang on board.
Just to annoy him.
